Common cleaning method in vacuum technology
A good vacuum environment is really important
The cleaning treatment in vacuum technology generally refers to the cleaning treatment of the structural materials, filling materials and vacuum parts of vacuum devices.
In all kinds of vacuum process production, such as electric vacuum process, vacuum coating process, vacuum welding process, pay great attention to vacuum health problems. In the electrovacuum process, it is required that the parts assembled in the high vacuum environment must be cleaned carefully in advance, otherwise all kinds of pollutants can become the source of a large number of gases and vapors, which will greatly extend the exhaust time of vacuum devices and make it difficult to obtain high vacuum.
Removal or reduction of contaminants will help to obtain a good vacuum, increase connection strength and air tightness, and improve product life and reliability.
The common type of pollutants
Oil and grease
Lubricants, vacuum grease, etc. that are contaminated during processing, installation and operation.
Drops of water
Hand sweat during operation, saliva during blowing glass, etc.
A surface oxide formed by the long-term exposure of a readily oxidizing material or by placing it in a humid atmosphere.
Acids, bases and salts
Residual substances after cleaning, hand sweat, minerals in tap water, etc.
Dust and other organic matter in the air
01 Solvent cleaning
Solvent cleaning is the most common method in vacuum system cleaning. Common cleaning solvents include organic solvents, water containing detergent, dilute acid, alkali, petroleum distillates, various metal cleaning agents and so on. Depending on the pollutant, different solvents are required for cleaning. If mineral oil needs to use organic solvents, rust needs to use acid metal cleaning agent.
02 Ultrasonic cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning is the use of ultrasonic voids to clean the target, can achieve a strong physical cleaning effect, remove strong adhesion pollutants. Ultrasonic cleaning can enter the complex shaped hole, which is impossible to achieve by many cleaning methods. Ultrasonic cleaning in the application, according to the different pollutants, with a variety of cleaning solvents.
03 Steam degreasing cleaning
Steam degreasing cleaning is suitable for cleaning the surface grease film and lipid film. Some of the substrate with strong attachment or serious pollution after swabbing or ultrasonic cleaning, with steam degreasing cleaning can achieve good cleaning effect, often used in the last step of the glass objects cleaning.
04 Electrolytic erosion cleaning
Electrolytic erosion cleaning is similar to electrolytic polishing, refers to the use of electrolysis in the solvent, remove the thin rust on the surface of metal parts or oxide film and other pollutants, mainly used for higher chemical stability of alloy parts, such as stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, nickel-based alloy.
05 Heating and irradiation cleaning
Heating cleaning is mainly used to heat components under normal pressure or vacuum to make the volatile pollutants on the surface evaporate to achieve the purpose of cleaning. Irradiation cleaning is to use ultraviolet irradiation to decompose hydrocarbons on the surface of components.
06 Discharge cleaning
Discharge cleaning is generally used in high vacuum, ultra - high vacuum system cleaning. The desorption of gases and the removal of certain hydrocarbons by electron bombardment. The effect of discharge cleaning depends on the motor material, geometry and its relationship with the surface
07 Nitrogen gas cleaning
Nitrogen cleaning is mainly to take advantage of the characteristics of nitrogen on the surface of the material, such as small adsorption heat, short retention time, easy to be pumped away. Nitrogen is used to flush the contaminated vacuum system, and squeeze out the adhesion space of water gas and other gas molecules to shorten the pumping time of the vacuum system.
IKS PVD remains you warmly,A good vacuum environment will have a good effect on the vacuum device itself and the vacuum process, so we should pay attention to it.
