Compared to traditional water electroplating, vacuum plating has the following advantages:
1. Conserve Metal Materials
Because the adhesion, density, hardness, and corrosion resistance of the vacuum coatings are excellent, the deposited coating can be much smaller than the conventional water electroplating coating to achieve the purpose of saving.
2. No Environmental Pollution
As all coating materials are deposited on the surface of the workpiece through plasma in a vacuum environment, there is no solution contamination, so the harm to the environment is relatively small.
3. Wide Range of Deposition Materials
It can deposit aluminum, zirconium, titanium and other low-potential metals that cannot be deposited by water electroplating. It can also deposit coatings from alloys to ceramics and even diamonds through reaction gases and alloy targets, and the coatings can be designed as required.
