Microarc oxidation: the process of applying a high voltage to an electrolyte solution (usually a weakly alkaline solution) to produce a ceramic surface film, resulting from a synergistic effect of physical discharge and electrochemical oxidation.

The process is the result of physical discharge and electrochemical oxidation.
Process: pretreatment - hot water wash - mao-drying
Process cost: high starting voltage of micro-arc oxidation, high current density, low current efficiency, high energy consumption and high processing cost limit the wide application of this technology.

Advantages:
1. Ceramic texture, dull appearance, no highlight products, delicate feel, anti-fingerprint
2. Extensive base materials: Al, Ti,Zn,Zr,Mg,Nb, and their alloys, etc
3. Simple pretreatment, excellent corrosion resistance, weather resistance and heat dissipation performance
Disadvantages:
1. At present, the color is limited, only black, gray and other mature, bright color is difficult to achieve
2. The cost is mainly affected by high power consumption, which is one of the highest costs in surface treatment
